Welcome to the GeGS Training framework, a digital set of thematic paths, case studies and practical resourcesthought for managers and practitioners involved in Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) services. Try and improve your professional and digital skills in within a vibrant and transnational Community of Practices.
Why. In today's rapidly evolving landscape, the digital transformation of IAG services and of Vocational Education and Training (VET) is imperative. The digital skills gap is a prevalent issue on the European Commission's agenda, as it strives to harness the potential of digital technologies and build an open, democratic, and sustainable digital society.
We acknowldge that leadership and ownership play a pivotal role in the successful transformation of IAG services: managers must possess the right skills to introduce new practices and oversee digital change management effectively; professionals and practitioners in IAG and VET must be involved in the new services provision since their design, and need the necessary competences and background conditions to be enabled to do so.
Competences: Our training framework is meticulously designed to equip guidance professionals with the essential skills needed to navigate this changing world of work. It has been tested and peer reviewed by a wide community of professionals for other professionals, in order to assure its relevance and quality. Throughout this journey, we will delve into two critical dimensions of your professional practice: professional skills development and digital skills enhancement.
Case studies: We employ the powerful tool of case studies to make your learning experience engaging and practical. The GeGS Case Studies have been designed by professionals with and for other professionals, to identify and respond to common challenges arising in the IAG sector and in the service. You will reflect and apply the professional and digital skills you acquire in real-life scenarios. By tackling common challenges faced by guidance practitioners, you'll develop effective solutions using your newfound knowledge and skills.
Navigating through the learning materials is simple. In the "CEDEFOP - CLUSTERS OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCES" section, you'll find case studies organized into three categories: Practitioner Skills & Values, Working with Clients, and Systems and Networks. In the Thematic Pathways section, case studies are cross-referenced and grouped into thematic tracks tailored to meet the precise training needs of both practitioners and managers.
We're thrilled to accompany you in this journey of professional and digital development. Our goal is to provide you with the tools you need to become cutting-edge guidance professionals.
Are you prepared to enhance your skills and lead your clients to success in the digital world of work? Let's embark on this exciting journey together.
